I sincerely wish to serve God and Poland all my life,
to willingly help other people and to keep the Law of the Scouts.
Scout Promise
The Scouting Association of the Republic of Poland (Związek Harcerstwa Rzeczypospolitej - ZHR) continues and develops the traditions of Polish Scouting, and so it uses the traditional anthem, scout badges and symbols. The Association is an independent organization and it is ideologically separated from any political party.

1. We help educate children and young people.
Education is based on the scout method which consists of encouraging children and young people to improve themselves by seeking badges and skills; to act through fun, play and service. It is also about creating opportunities for collaboration with peers and adults, and about integration based on common tradition and symbols. The education process is guided by Christian values.
2. We shape patriotic and pro-social attitudes.
ZHR teaches how to serve fellow humans, to maintain national traditions, cultivate Polish identity and to develop national consciousness and citizenship. Through their dedication to hard community work, senior Scouts teach how to be selfless and respectful of the common good. A senior scout spends an average of 139 days a year doing voluntary work.
3. We develop interests and skills.
To be awarded new badges and skills, Scouts must rise to greater and greater challenges, to improve their competencies and to confront their fear of the unknown. There are 5 scout badges indicating the level of skill and knowledge a Boy or a Girl Scout has attained. A badge on the scout’s uniform shows its owner’s specialization and interests.
,,Let no one demand anything of the organization if they do not contribute to its existence.” Andrzej Malkowski, founder of the Polish Scouts.
Adults in the service to ZHR
Recently, more and more service in ZHR is provided by adults. Father, who sees in the scout method a useful tool in the education of his son, will certainly be responsible and dedicated instructor. He can lead the Scout troop or scout team.
